Job summary

Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) within the Simons Foundation is based in New York City. The role focuses on developing new concepts, algorithms and open-source software to tackle many-body quantum problems, while collaborating with leading scientists and visiting researchers.

Initial appointments run two years with potential renewal, supported by a strong mentorship network and opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration in quantum materials

Qualifications

Ph.D. in relevant field.
Expertise in computational methods, data analysis, software and algorithm development, modeling, machine learning, high-performance and parallel computing, or scientific simulation.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Report to Research Scientists or CCQ Director; develop new concepts, algorithms and codes for many-particle quantum problems.
Disseminate results through publications, open-source software, conferences and mentorship of students.
Two-year initial appointment with possible renewal contingent on performance.
