Job summary

Tabula is an AI-first therapeutics company focusing on phage-bacteria interactions. We are hiring a Research Scientist to build computational and physics-based modeling core, run large-scale simulations, and validate models with experimental data in close collaboration with wet lab scientists.

The role emphasizes quantitative reasoning, rigorous experimentation, and a fast feedback loop from model to potential clinical impact.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics or related quantitative field, or equivalent research experience.
  • Strong background in numerical methods, large-scale simulation, and dynamical systems modelling.
  • Fluency in Python; familiarity with PyTorch is a plus.
  • Experience with HPC environments and scientific computing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop physics-based theoretical and computational models of phage–bacteria infection dynamics.
  • Design and run large-scale numerical simulations and validate against experimental data.
  • Analyze data to infer physical parameters and constrain models.
  • Collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists to connect models to real-world outcomes.
  • Help define research roadmap and best practices for experimentation and reproducibility.
