Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with commercial CFD tools and command-line execution
• Strong programming skills in C++ and scripting in Python or MATLAB

Job description

• Simulation Execution: Set up and run steady-state and transient CFD models for internal and external aerodynamics, multiphase flow, or thermal management using ANSYS Fluent and Open FOAM/Simerics/GT Suite.
• Customization & Scripting: Write, modify, or extend custom C++ physics solvers, boundary conditions, and utility scripts within Open FOAM/Simerics/GT Suite to address non-standard physical phenomena.
• Workflow Automation: Build automation pipelines and post-processing routines using Python, bash, or C++ to speed up design iterations.
• Validation & Correlation: Compare simulation outputs with experimental test data to verify model accuracy and refine grid convergence.
• Cross-Functional Design: Collaborate with mechanical, R&D, and product development teams to translate flow insights into product optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Software Competency: Proven commercial experience with ANSYS tools (Fluent, CFX, Meshing) alongside hands-on proficiency with Open FOAM/Simerics/GT Suite architecture and command-line execution.
• Programming Skills: Strong working knowledge of C++ (for Open FOAM/Simerics/GT Suite source code modification) and scripting languages like Python or MATLAB (for data processing and automation).
• Core Knowledge: Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, turbulence modeling, and numerical discretization methods.
