Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Computational Designer to lead advanced digital workflows and data-driven strategies across the firm. You will collaborate with structural engineering teams on complex projects and help grow the firm's digital practice initiatives.

The role demands strong communication, a proactive mindset for continuous improvement, and the ability to work across multiple offices, engaging with clients and interdisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing and applying advanced digital workflows in the AEC industry.
• Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Understanding BIM processes and interoperability.
• Expert knowledge of Rhinoceros and Grasshopper.
• Experience using Revit with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy digital workflows via code and visual scripting.
• Develop BIMs and model deliverables.
• Maintain scripting standards across the Structural Engineering project delivery teams.
• Maintain online documentation around the latest digital practices across the firm.
• Assist in training staff on the latest digital tools and standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in project delivery related to technology and data-driven processes.
• Develop visuals for communicating with clients and project teams to inform design decisions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and their application to our projects.
