This is a part-time, non-permanent engagement. Ideal candidates have a chemistry degree, Python proficiency (NumPy/SciPy), 2+ years of relevant work, and strong English (C1+).

Compensation is up to $76 per hour and reflects level, pace, and project scope. Documentation and clear problem statements are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related fields.
• Python proficiency for numerical validation (NumPy, SciPy, etc.).
• 2+ years of professional experience in chemistry contexts.
• Familiarity with computational chemistry concepts and methods.
• Strong written English (C1+).

Responsibilities

• Design original computational chemistry problems that simulate real chemistry research workflows.
• Create problems requiring Python programming to solve using numpy, scipy, chemical libraries.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days/weeks.
• Develop problems requiring non-trivial reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
• Verify solutions using Python with standard computational chemistry approaches.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
