DataAnnotation is seeking a Chemist to join a remote, project-based team evaluating AI-driven chemical reasoning. You will craft prompts that probe mechanisms, review model outputs for unsafe procedures or misread spectra, and provide correct, safety-conscious answers.

The role emphasizes graduate-level chemistry knowledge or equivalent lab experience, comfort across organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry, and clear written English. Flexible, remote work is available.

As a Chemist you'll evaluate AI chemical reasoning, catch what's wrong or unsafe, and write the answers a trained chemist would give.

• Write prompts that probe chemical reasoning: mechanisms, synthesis routes, and analytical interpretation.
• Review AI output for impossible mechanisms, unsafe procedures, and misread spectra, and rate the reasoning.
• Write the correct answer when the model falls short, with proper attention to conditions and safety.

Compensation

Up to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $100k–$200k a year; some make it their full-time income.
