Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, CS, AI, Computational Biology or Bioinformatics.
• First-author peer reviewed publication.
• Proven track record of leading research projects in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Applied AI/clinical applications.

Responsibilities

• Abides by BIDMC policies on health and safety, equal opportunity and data management.
• pursues research under PI supervision while developing independent work skills.
• Receives training and performs duties contributing to investigational work, including design, experiments, and evaluation of results.
• Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under PI direction.
• Develops lab skills and proficiency with informatics, physics or clinical research; progresses toward independence.
• Develops new ideas that advance current research and brings expertise to the program.
• Teaching and supervision of students and their projects when appropriate.
• Engages in collaborative meetings, attends and leads seminars.
• Learns to identify and correct deficiencies in performance.
• Seeks independent funding opportunities near the end of the fellowship.
