  • Proven track record of leading research projects in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Applied AI/clinical applications.

About the Lab The Aegis Lab develops computational methods to better understand how genetic mutations contribute to cancer and aging. Our team of computational scientists, bioinformaticians, and quantitative researchers is focused on advancing the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Led by Dr. Dominik Glodzik, the lab is part of the Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Skills and Experience for Success
  • PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Biology, or Bioinformatics.
  • Demonstrated research excellence, including at least one first author peer reviewed publication.
  • Proven track record of leading successful research projects in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Applied AI, and/or clinically focused applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Research experience in Digital Pathology, Cancer Genomics, Somatic Mutation Analysis, Drug Discovery, or Therapeutic Development.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or public code repositories such as GitHub.
  • Demonstrated leadership, resilience, and initiative through academic achievements, professional experience, volunteer work, or other meaningful endeavors.
Job Description: Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops expertise in desired lab skills/informatics/ physics/clinical research. Develops proficiency with research tools and equipment. Develops ability to work with more independence as the fellowship progresses (essential)

Required Qualifications

Doctoral Degree or M.D. 0-1 year of postdoctoral research experience in academic or industrial lab setting, and/or teaching assistantship in a university setting, and/or residency, and/or clinical duties beyond that of the qualifying doctoral degree.

Physical Nature of the Job

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the hospital campus.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $60,000.00 USD - $75,564.00 USD The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
