Its service capabilities include zero-hour overhauls, make-ready shop work, engine top-end maintenance, general troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Wolf Sales & Service also supports daily operations and call-out coverage for clients, offering hands‑on technical support and reliable field service for compression systems.

Role Description The Compressor Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Midland, TX, responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of compressor systems and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and operational issues, completing repairs and component replacements, and conducting zero-hour overhauls and make-ready work as assigned. The technician will document service activities, maintain accurate maintenance records, and follow company procedures and safety standards while working in shop and field environments. This role also involves coordinating with operations staff, responding to call-outs, supporting daily compressor operations, and ensuring equipment is running efficiently and reliably for customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with experience working on compressors, engines, or similar rotating equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. 5+ yrs exp prefered.
• Ability to perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including inspections, adjustments, and component replacements in shop and field settings.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, diagnostic tools, and reading technical manuals, drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Strong focus on safety, including adherence to company safety policies, use of PPE, and awareness of hazards in an industrial and field environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, document work performed, and interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to work full-time on-site in permain/deleware basin areas, including occasional call-out coverage and varying weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical, industrial, or diesel technology is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
