Job summary

Sempra Services Corporation is seeking an EI&C Technician to execute routine operating tasks, diagnose equipment, and perform repairs to keep systems available and data accurate. This role requires independence, occasional shift work, and responding to call-outs outside normal hours.

Responsibilities include operating compressor units, conducting routine equipment checks, SCADA status verification, and assisting with planned maintenance while maintaining organized tool areas and inventory

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining electronic/electrical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions using electronic principles.
• Experience with SCADA systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and operate compressor units and auxiliary systems within prescribed limits.
• Perform routine checks on engines, compressors, separators, coolers, and dehydration equipment and document results.
• Replace basic components (filters, gaskets) and replenish fluids per procedures.
• Use SCADA systems to verify status and log notes as directed.
• Collect gas samples or moisture readings and route or log per procedure.
• Respond to routine alarms and notify senior personnel.
• Assist with planned maintenance windows and poststart checks.
• Maintain tidy tool and parts areas and update inventory for consumables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose

Executes a wide range of routine operating tasks, applying established methods to keep equipment available and data accurate.

Resolves common issues by selecting from known options and preparing thorough tickets for escalation when needed.

The EI&C Technician modifies, repairs, and overhauls electronic and electrical equipment and controls.

This role applies knowledge of electronic principles to determine equipment malfunctions and uses technical skills to restore equipment to proper operation.

The position requires working independently with minimal supervision, working outside normal business hours, responding to call-outs, and potentially working assigned shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Starts, stops, and operates compressor units and auxiliary systems; adjusts within prescribed limits to maintain flow and pressure.
• Performs routine checks on engines, compressors, separators, coolers, and dehydration equipment; documents results.
• Replaces basic components (filters, gaskets) and replenishes fluids following standard procedures.
• Uses supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to verify operating status and enter notes as directed.
• Collects gas samples or moisture readings when required and routes them or logs per procedure.
• Responds to routine alarms by executing predefined steps and communicating conditions to senior personnel.
• Assists with planned maintenance windows (equipment preparations, isolation support, poststart checks).
• Maintains tidy tool and parts areas; updates inventory counts for consumables used during routine tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
