Job summary

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation is seeking a skilled Compressor Mechanic to perform field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on compressors and generators across our Appalachia-focused assets. This role reports to the Manager and requires hands-on mechanical expertise.

The position emphasizes adherence to emissions standards, safety practices, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Candidates should have strong diagnostic and repair capabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Minimum four years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in engine and compressor maintenance and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with Waukesha engines, Cat engines, Ariel/Gemini frames and related control boards.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of compressors/generators.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of compressor/generator system shutdowns and failures.
• Order and stock maintenance and repair parts as needed.
• Ensure equipment is operating under current emissions guidelines/standards.
• Complete necessary paperwork/data entry.
• Follow all safety practices and procedures.
• Handle emergency callouts as needed.
• Maintain open communication with field operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITES:

The Compressor Mechanic is responsible for performing skilled tasks including all levels of field maintenance, troubleshooting, direct repairs, overhauls and scheduled preventative maintenance on compressors/generators This role reports to the Manager.

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of compressors/generators
• Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of compressor/generator system shutdowns and failures
• Order and stock maintenance and repair parts as needed
• Ensure equipment is operating under current emissions guidelines/standards
• Complete necessary paperwork/data entry
• Understand and comply with all company safety practices, policies and procedures
• Handle emergency callouts as needed
• Ensure active and open communication with field operations
• Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficient in engine and compressor maintenance and strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with repairing and or overhauling Waukesha engines, Cat 3304,3306,3500 and 3600 engines
• Experience repairing Ariel and Gemini Frames
• Must have experience with Murphy, Centurion, TTD, and Altronic electronic control boards
• Must have experience with repairing and upgrading compressor ignition systems, speed controls, pumps and regulators
• Basic understanding of surface production equipment and applications
• Must have proven mechanical aptitude
• CAT Engine Certification and Ariel Compressor experience a plus
• Experience with compressor emissions, automation and communications systems is a plus
• Must be responsible, diligent and able to self‑motivate and work independently under little supervision
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Strong communication skills Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed
• Ability to be flexible with the shift schedule

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
• Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
• Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
• Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
• Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
• Lifts or carries 85 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
• Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline

Driver Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
• This position involves operating a company vehicle for work‑related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
• Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
