Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Compression Molding Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM) in Garden Grove, CA. You will set up mold tooling and materials per work orders, operate molding presses and forklift equipment, and run production orders safely while maintaining quality. Adherence to 5S is required.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years in molding/plastics manufacturing, with strong math skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. DOE.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 2+ years experience in Manufacturing Environment Molding Plastics; reading blueprints preferred.
Good basic math skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; forklift operation skills; basic computer experience.

COMPRESSION MOLDING OPERATOR, 4/10 SCHEDULED MONDAY-THURSDAY 2nd SHIFT 4:30PM-3:00AM, $22.00-$26.00 PER HOUR plus $1.00 shift differential. DOE.

The compression molding operator is required to set up all required mold tooling and material per work order instructions. Operation of molding presses, tool handling equipment and forklift to perform job duties. Running production orders safely while maintaining quality of molded product. Maintain 5s work before, during and at shift end.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour, plus $1.00 shift differential, depending on experience. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7.5% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position is $43,680 to $59,488. Local bonus plan payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
