Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Compression Engineer to support the compression and balance-of-plant (BOP) systems at our Spokane, WA facilities. The role covers reciprocating and turbine/centrifugal units, and related plant equipment to ensure reliable operation.

Candidates will apply root cause analysis, diagnose issues, and engineer cost-effective fixes while collaborating with field teams. A mechanical engineering degree and 6+ years in gas compression are preferred; strong safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years experience with natural gas compression facilities or similar equipment.
• Ability to work independently, safety-conscious and with sound judgement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Operations on day-to-day issues at assigned compressor stations.
• Conduct root cause analysis investigations.
• Identify, scope, estimate and engineer break fix projects to repair failed systems, machines and/or components.
• Identify, scope, estimate and engineer capital and maintenance projects for long-term solutions.
• Provide mentoring for field teams and collaborate with technicians and engineers.
