Comprehensive Ophthalmology Staff Physician

Role Overview

The position is a staff physician role within the Department of Ophthalmology at UCI Health, primarily based at our Brea satellite office, with some coverage at Irvine and Orange facilities. This role focuses on primary management of ophthalmic diseases, including anterior segment, ocular surface, medical glaucoma, and retinal screening. The position does not require teaching or research responsibilities but emphasizes excellent patient care and long-term patient relationships. Surgical procedures are optional based on the physician's expertise.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Ophthalmology
• Full scope of comprehensive ophthalmology services experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Medical Degree from an accredited university
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Ability to obtain a California medical license
• Active DEA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $111,100 - $300,000, plus benefits including medical insurance, retirement plans, and more. UCI offers a comprehensive benefits package.
