Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician I in Ohio. Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, you will work in a clean room to compound medications and support safe, accurate operations 50% of the time.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists with preparation and dispensing, preparing medications, performing basic calculations, labeling and packaging, and helping document incidents and logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Ability to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication‑related incidents.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents any failures or defects.
• Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.
