Job summary

Barrington James is representing an independent, family-run 503A compounding pharmacy in southeastern Pennsylvania that is hiring a Pharmacy Compounding Technician. This hands-on lab role focuses on non-sterile compounding, maintaining the lab and supporting the pharmacist.

The successful candidate will work in a close-knit team, be trained for sterile compounding as the new suite opens next year, and commute to the big-city location in SE Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician background, registered as required in Pennsylvania
• Hands on non-sterile compounding experience preferred; trained if needed
• Reliable, careful and consistent with documentation
• Comfortable in a small team with a steady, quiet working style
• Based in or able to commute to big city in southeastern Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Prepare non sterile compounded preparations (capsules, creams, suspensions) to the formula and the pharmacist's instructions
• Weigh, measure and document every step accurately
• Maintain the compounding lab, equipment and supplies
• Support the pharmacist with checks and release
• Follow USP <795> and <800> practices and pharmacy SOPs
• Keep the lab covered through the afternoon
• Cross train on sterile compounding as the new suite opens

Job description

We are currently supporting an independent, family run 503A compounding pharmacy in a big city in southeastern Pennsylvania that is looking to engage a Pharmacy Compounding Technician.

This is a hands on lab seat in a close knit, long tenured team. You will prepare non sterile compounded medications every day, keep the lab running through the afternoon, and grow with the pharmacy as it adds a sterile compounding suite next year. Experience is preferred and the pharmacy will train the right person.

This is not a counter or data entry job. This is a compounding lab role inside a small independent pharmacy, for someone who likes steady, careful, head down work.
