Job summary

Stokes Pharmacy in Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician (CPT) to work with licensed pharmacists to prepare compounded medications for human and animal patients. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a starting wage of $17/hour plus semi-annual bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

The CPT will operate the compounding system, follow USP guidelines, and collaborate with a team to meet productivity and accuracy goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Compounding, tableting or cGMP experience preferred, but not required.
• Must wear protective gear and follow gowning procedures.
• Strong verbal, written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Able to sit and/or stand 8–10 hours; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate our computerized compounding system under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and prepare compounds as prescribed.
• Calibrate and document scales, meters and equipment used in compounding.
• Follow safety and USP guidelines for preparation of compounded medications.
• Maintain cleanliness and accurate record-keeping for all compounding activities.
