Option Care Health is seeking a Compounding Technician I to join our team in Shelton, CT. Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, you will work in a clean room to compound medications at least 50% of the time, ensuring safe and accurate operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with preparation and dispensing, labeling, and basic calculations. This role requires a High School diploma and pharmacy technician experience, with state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately label and package medications.
• Participate in reporting medication related incidents.
