Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation and dispensing of medications under a licensed Pharmacist's supervision. You will perform compounding, labeling, and documentation to ensure accuracy and safety in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician License or state registration where applicable, at least 1 year of experience, and strong customer service and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician License required or registered (state dependent).
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers and meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, assists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Prepares medications for accurate compounding.
  • Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
  • Accurately labels and packages medications.
  • Participates in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
  • Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Inspects equipment and documents equipment failures or defects.
  • Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.

Job description

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint.
