Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join Centralized Compounding, supporting both inpatient and outpatient operations with close supervision and clearly defined procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, meet Indiana tech-in-training or licensure requirements, and demonstrate strong math, typing and Microsoft Office skills while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Involves Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training OR Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited pharmacy program.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in an accredited program.

• Learn and perform basic pharmacy technician tasks under supervision.
• Assist in centralized compounding for inpatient and outpatient settings.

Description:

We are looking for quality minded individuals who have attention to detail and want to learn more about compounding. This work is very hands on and includes the opportunity to learn many different skills. Centralized Compounding is a unique closed-door pharmacy department that services all of IU Health's facilities including both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training OR Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy or enrolled in or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills in assigned areas and work under close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.
• Requires ability to learn effective written and communication skills.
• Requires ability to learn and execute customer services skills.
• Requires basic proficiency typing and using Microsoft office applications.
