Job summary

Banner Health Corporate in Chandler, AZ is seeking a full-time Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our advanced Pharmacy team. The role supports packaging, distribution and preparation of compounded medications and sterile products, under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting in non-sterile and IV compounding, maintaining inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety across the facility's processes.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician licensure and active certification in AZ
• 1–2 years of related experience
• AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Selects and prepares medications under direct supervision and batches for pharmacist check.
• Assists in packaging, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Prepares compounded and IV medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and hazardous agents.
• Adheres to USP/cGMP and aseptic technique guidelines; calibrates equipment as needed.
• Educates, trains, and oversees Pharmacy Technician staff and volunteers.
• Maintains inventory, reorders medications, and ensures safe storage and disposal of pharmaceutical waste.
