Job summary

Inova Compounding Pharmacy seeks a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 for a full-time role at 3901 Stonecroft Blvd, Chantilly, VA 20151. The position includes days/evenings rotating shifts and occasional weekends, with a focus on compounding medications and accurate dispensing.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and Virginia registration as a Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacy intern license, plus BLS within 3 months. We offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of compounding pharmacy technician experience (preferred).
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia or Pharmacy intern license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customized medications by measuring, mixing, and packaging per prescription orders.
• Operate and maintain compounding equipment (ointment mills, capsule machines, mixers) with proper calibration and cleanliness.
• Follow aseptic techniques and USP <795> and <800> guidelines in sterile and non-sterile environments.
• Maintain inventory and proper storage conditions; assist Pharmacist in processing and dispensing medications.
