Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacist- Technician I to join the team, under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, performing compounding in a clean room and supporting accurate medication preparation.

The role emphasizes customer service, basic math, and adherence to policies, with responsibilities spanning compounding, labeling, room maintenance, and incident reporting. Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and pharmacy tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year pharmacy technician experience; licensed/registered if required by state.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Basic level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with prescription compounding, preparation, and processing per policy and state standards.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Accurately label and package medications.
• Participate in medication incident assessment, management, and reporting.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and laminar flow hoods; keep logs.
• Inspect equipment and document defects; record temperature and cleaning logs.
