Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacist-Approved Compounding Technician I to assist under a licensed Pharmacist in a clean room environment. The role focuses on medication compounding, preparation, labeling, and processing to ensure safe and accurate operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, with licensure if required by state. Strong math, organizational, and computer skills are essential, as is a customer-service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prescription compounding, preparation, and processing in accordance with policies and state standards.
• Prepares medications for dispensing and accurate labeling and packaging.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Participates in reporting and documenting medication incidents.
• Maintains pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods, and cleans/sanitizes work areas.
• Inspects equipment and documents equipment status and failures.
• Maintains temperature and cleaning logs for the pharmacy.
