Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding to join our Pharmacy team at our Englewood, CO location.

You will prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations, maintain logs, and work under the supervision of the Pharmacist to ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a state-licensed Pharmacy Technician with IV certification preferred and 1–3 years of related experience in home infusion or hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice.
• 1–3 years of related pharmacy experience in home care, retail or pharmacy setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules the preparation of sterile mixtures and home medical equipment orders with pharmacist assistance.
• Performs calculations on product preparation and compounding tasks.
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile preparations using aseptic technique where permitted.
• Maintains clean room/compounding areas and logs per policies and USP 797/800.
• Documents activities on logs and participates in meetings and quality improvement.
• Adheres to regulations and retains temperature/monitors records per USP standards.
• May assist with other duties and on-call coverage as scheduled.
