Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Compounding to join our Pharmacy team at our Irving, TX location.

You will support the preparation, labeling and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, with emphasis on sterile and non-sterile compounding under the supervision of the Pharmacist. The role requires completing calculations, maintaining clean room standards per USP 797/800, documenting all activities, and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of practice.
• IV certification preferred.
• Experience with aseptic compounding preferred.
• Knowledge of USP 797/800 standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates sterile and home medical equipment preparation with Pharmacist assistance.
• Performs all calculations for product preparation.
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile products (parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemo, hydration, narcotics) using aseptic technique.
• Maintains clean room and equipment per policies and USP 797/800.
• Documents activities on logs and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to accreditation, OSHA, FDA, and USP 797/800 standards.
• Records temperature/pressure/humidity logs and sterility testing per policy and USP 797/800.
• Other duties as assigned.
