Job summary

Red Rock Pharmacy in Springville, UT is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our fast-growing compounding team. You will compound customized medications, perform sterile and non-sterile preparations, and collaborate with prescribers to develop patient-specific therapies.

Maintain quality, comply with USP standards and regulatory requirements, supervise technicians, document procedures, and communicate clearly with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing.
• Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team.
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Compounding & medication preparation based on prescriptions.
• Sterile & non-sterile compounding, including injections and ophthalmic preparations.
• Quality checks, ingredient verification, and final product inspections.
• Compliance with USP standards and FDA/DEA/Utah Board requirements.
• Collaborate with prescribers to develop customized therapies.
• Communicate with patients and providers about prescriptions and treatment options.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure proper procedures.
• Maintain compounding records and documentation.
• Assist with general pharmacy operations and maintain a clean environment.
