Job summary

ApotheCARE Pharmacy in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Kentucky-licensed Pharmacist for a full-time non-sterile compounding role. You will work with the PIC and a skilled tech team to compound non-sterile preparations, verify prescriptions, and counsel patients.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist License
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Minimum 1 year community retail or non-sterile compounding experience preferred
• Immunization delivery certification or willingness to obtain
• Excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, familiarity with community pharmacy systems (PioneerRx a plus)

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate non-sterile compounding of specialized medications, including BHRT, topical pain creams, pediatric suspensions, and veterinary formulations
• Oversee daily operations of a USP-compliant compounding lab
• Collaborate with physicians, veterinarians, and patients to design personalized regimens and alternative dosage forms
• Ensure compliance with USP guidelines, safety protocols, and quality control documentation
