Job summary

Cohere Beauty is seeking a Compounding Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure proper materials and equipment, and train new staff on compounding practices. The role focuses on safe, compliant, and efficient production while guiding teams on the manufacturing floor.

You will lead, mentor, and assess staff, ensure adherence to OSHA and GMP standards, and coordinate with planning to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes/procedures and compounding procedures.
  • Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Post-secondary education in physical science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • Strong Math and Chemistry aptitude.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.
  • Specific training or experience in OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety (preferred).
  • Oral and written communication skills should be at intermediate levels (preferred).
  • One to Three years’ experience in batch compounding in a Manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience training safety, quality, and GMPs (preferred).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as leadership focal point and key advisor to compounding supervisors on the production floor.
  • Provide team mentorship, ensuring the development of compounders and the required skill sets.
  • Comply and work with staff to ensure compliance with regulatory, and company standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure products are produced efficiently and safely while meeting quality expectations and standards.
  • Drive processes to reduce errors below established trend lines and toward continuous improvement.
  • Make key recommendations on employment decisions (e.g., hiring, disciplinary action, termination).
  • Ensure proper personnel staffing to meet projected needs to support continued improvement efforts.
  • Assigns work based on employee qualifications and skill level.
  • Keep equipment in good working order and ensure employees do so as well.
  • Ensure proper communication of equipment repair and preventive maintenance needs.
  • Ensure employees are suitably trained to use the equipment.
  • Comply with supplied schedules from the Planning Department
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to employees and enforce them.
  • Facilitate team meetings and regular feedback to all team members.
  • Evaluate staff performance and competencies including doing performance assessments.
  • Communicate information and projects up and down the chain of command.
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships.
  • Implement, interpret, and affect policies and operating practices.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and make recommendations regarding business practices.
  • Perform work on-site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Compounding Coordinator serves as the leadership liaison between the Compounding Manager and Compounding leads, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day compounding operations, ensuring the proper materials and chemicals are available to formulate product batches, ensuring compounding areas, devices, and supplies are available, conducting new employee training and education, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and helping develop policies and procedures that both fit in the workflow and meet Company requirements.
