Job summary

Synergy Flavors (OH) LLC is seeking a Compounder to join our Hamilton, OH production team. You will weigh ingredients, operate mixers and blending equipment, and model batch accuracy in a fast-paced facility. This role requires adherence to GMPs, safety procedures, and precise documentation.

Candidate must have HS diploma, comfort with basic math, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Shift is 3rd, Mon-Fri 11pm-7:30am, onsite with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a $21.50 base hourly rate plus $1.50

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED Preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs, allergens, and safety practices.
• Ability to wear PPE including steel-toed shoes, safety goggles, and mask.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Your Role in Synergy's Success

Position Summary This position is responsible for compounding in a production manufacturing facility. Compounders add raw materials and follow the formula requirements to complete production orders using equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. They must follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the equipment. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures. Compounders are required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow standard batching instructions to measure or weigh ingredients.
• Lifting of heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
• Strictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment able to multi‑task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible.
• Sample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion.
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
• Filling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded.
• Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
• Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED Preferred
• Must have a general knowledge of workplace safety and quality processes including GMP’s & Allergens
• Must follow safety requirements and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel‑toed shoes, safety goggles and a mask as necessary
• Attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematics required
• Problem solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize/report the problem
• When required for the position, the employee must be able to wear a respirator with Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the respiratory and pulmonary function testing
• Ability to: Manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
• Learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures
• Learn and consistently complete required documentation and record‑keeping requirements
• Work overtime when necessary
• Ability to use and read scales, accurate tare and recognize unit of measure requirements.
• Basic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred
• Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary

Hourly Rate: $21.50 per hour + $1.50 shift differential + $1,000 Sign on Bonus. 3rd shift: Monday - Friday 11pm-7:30am

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
