Actalent in Edgewood, NY seeks a Liquid Compounder for entry-level development in chemical manufacturing. You will follow established formulas, perform precise measurements, and contribute to higher quality liquid products in a GMP setting.

You will join a small team with hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for growth. The role focuses on batch production, lab support, and safe handling of chemicals in a fully onsite facility.

Qualifications

  • Laboratory experience gained through coursework, research projects, internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and procedures precisely.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling practices.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare liquid chemical batches by following formulation sheets, batch records and SOPs.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and blend raw materials for product consistency.
  • Support production of personal care, cosmetic, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and consumer products.
  • Operate mixing, blending, and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, label, stage, and organize raw materials according to quality and safety standards.
  • Complete production documentation, inventory records, and batch paperwork accurately.
  • Monitor batch progress and report deviations to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, GMP-compliant work environment.
  • Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements related to chemical handling.
  • Collaborate with compounders, technicians, and supervisors to meet daily goals.
  • Assist with additional laboratory and manufacturing activities as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Liquid Compounder, you'll play a key role in the production of high-quality liquid products by following established formulas, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, organized laboratory and manufacturing facility operating under GMP standards. You'll join a close-knit team of approximately 6-8 professionals who are committed to quality, safety, and collaboration. Team members receive hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing support to help them succeed and grow within the organization.

The role involves standing for extended periods, operating equipment, handling chemical materials, and occasional lifting in a safety-focused environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewood, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.03 - $31.25/hr.
