Job summary

eTeam is seeking a Compound Management Research Scientist II in Emeryville, CA, for a 12-month assignment. The role focuses on compound fulfillment and automation-system operation to support drug discovery.

The candidate will validate and upgrade systems, prioritize orders, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining SOPs and quality standards. A Chemistry/biology-based degree with automation experience is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
2+ years of experience supporting automated laboratory operations in pharma/biotech environment or equivalent 8 years in compound management.
Hands-on with automated platforms (e.g., liquid handlers) and storage systems.
Experience handling chemicals/small molecules, preparing assay-ready plates.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day compound-handling workflows, prioritizing and fulfilling daily orders.
Assist in dissolution, preparation, and plating of compounds using automated and manual systems.
Serve as first point of contact for equipment, operations, and logistics troubleshooting.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver compounds in required formats.
