Job summary

The Pharmacy Hub in Davie and Miami Gardens, Florida, seeks an R&D Scientist to lead formulation and process development of compounded pharmaceutical products. The role covers bench‑top to production scale, troubleshooting, and rigorous documentation to ensure GMP and USP compliance.

You will design trials for various dosage forms, optimize processes, and collaborate across Production, Quality, Pharmacy, Procurement, and Operations in a regulated 503A environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years (3–5 years preferred) of hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical formulation, compounding, product development, or process development.
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing formulation studies, stability protocols, and compatibility evaluations.
• Working knowledge of GMP principles and USP <795> (nonsterile), <797> (sterile), and <800> (hazardous drugs).
• Understanding of 503A compounding pharmacy regulatory requirements and how they apply to formulation development.
• Familiarity with multiple dosage forms, such as tablets, capsules, creams, ODTs, sprays, topical semi‑solids, troches, ODTs, injections, and gummies.
• Ability to run laboratory trials independently and accurately.
• Strong technical documentation and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to formulation & process development from screening to scale‑up across diverse dosage forms.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support CAPA and process improvements.
• Document all trials in lab records and prepare Master Formulation Records (MFRs).
• Transfer developed formulations to Production with complete documentation and SOPs.
• Evaluate equipment capability and support scale‑up from lab to pilot/production.
