Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Compound Blending Operator to oversee the production of raw materials for blending and mixing. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality assurance, and maintaining a clean environment while keeping mixers, scales and control systems in good condition.

Duties include monitoring recipes, supervising the computer system for weights, heats and pressure, and performing basic maintenance plus reporting repairs. Shift is 9am–9pm with a 36/48 schedule and stated pay of $27.17/hr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with chemical production processes or in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and perform basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and run proper recipes including ingredient amounts, heating and cooling times/temperatures.
• Monitor compound computer system for weights, heats and pressure.
• Inspect, repair and report needed repairs of filters, material lines/hoses, etc.
• Maintain railcar unloading system safely and keep railcar area clean.
• File correct batch, resin/silo, tote, railcar reports, etc.
• Communicate material changes to production supervisor.
