Job summary

Ahlstrom in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Composites Technician to support safe, efficient operation of the Spunbond or Film lines, monitor product quality, and perform routine maintenance. You will participate in the Technician Progression Program (TPP), advance toward Technician II/IV within a rotating-shift environment, and work under the Team Leader.

Qualifications include high school or GED, 2 years college preferred, industrial experience, leadership, mechanical aptitude, and forklift

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED equivalent, 2 years college preferred.
• Several years working in an industrial environment.
• Experience in spunbond, film, or extrusion-based processes preferred.
• Leadership skills and a strong desire to learn.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
• Forklift operation is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Participate as a representative in CRS.
• Follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Develop skills to Technician II status and contribute to TPP documentation.
• Adhere to site safety plans and complete lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Ensure environmental and safety standards are met.
• Set up spunbond or film line parameters and monitor extrusion processes.
• Record production information including logs and control charts.
