R&P Technologies is seeking an experienced Composite Technician IV for a full-time position involving installation, repair, and troubleshooting of composite lamination and lay-up on US Navy ships in Pascagoula, MS. The role requires proven composite and technical skills, and involves training Level II and I technicians. The technician will ensure all composite work meets specifications and safety standards, oversee shipboard installations, and mentor junior personnel.

Responsibilities

1. Manage surface preparation and composite lamination/infusion/installation of various systems.
2. Assist with material research, procurement, planning, and receipt.
3. Maintain excellent communication skills (verbal and electronic).
4. Support QA documentation, reports, and inspections.
5. Assist with shipboard installation tasks, hazard identification, and equipment repairs.
6. Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
7. Contribute to training and development of shipboard personnel in RAM and composite certifications.

Qualifications

1. 3-5 years of experience in structural and composite work, with relevant education or verified work experience.
2. Ability to read and interpret work requirements, drawings, and diagrams.
3. Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
4. US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
5. Fluency in English (verbal and written).
6. Experience supervising personnel.
7. Proficiency with power, pneumatic, and hand tools.
8. Strong problem-solving skills.
9. Physical ability to work in an industrial shipyard environment.
10. Willingness to travel and flexibility with scheduling.
11. Knowledge of safety procedures; shipyard competent person certification and OSHA 10 - Maritime are pluses.
