Join to apply for the Composite Technician III role at Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P)

R&P Technologies is seeking an experienced Composite Technician IV for a full-time position involving tasks related to installing, repairing, and troubleshooting composite lamination and lay-up onboard US Navy ships in Pascagoula, MS. Candidates must possess proven composite and technical skills and be capable of training Technician Level II and I personnel. The role involves ensuring all composite production meets specifications and safety policies, overseeing shipboard installations, and providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing surface preparation and composite lamination/infusion/installation of various systems.
2. Assisting with material research, procurement, and planning.
3. Communicating effectively both verbally and electronically.
4. Maintaining QA documentation and reports.
5. Supporting shipboard installation tasks, hazard identification, and equipment repair.
6. Ensuring adherence to safety and quality management systems.
7. Training personnel in RAM, composite certifications, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Structural and composite background with 3-5 years of relevant experience (equivalent education or verified work experience may be considered).
• Ability to interpret work requirements, drawings, and diagrams.
• Attention to detail and quality metrics.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Experience supervising personnel.
• Proficiency with power, pneumatic, and hand tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to work in an industrial shipyard environment.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to schedule changes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures; Shipyard competent person certification and OSHA 10 - Maritime are pluses.
