Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking skilled Composite Technicians in Briggs, Texas to fabricate, assemble, and repair aerospace composite structures. You will perform layups, cure operations, and inspections while reading engineering drawings and maintaining traceability.

Roles vary by level and shift (day, afternoon/evening, or weekend schedules) to meet production needs. Entry through advanced levels require aptitude in hand tools, measuring devices, and prepregs, with potential mentorship for less

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
• Able to follow detailed work instructions and learn composite processes.
• Technical school or hands-on training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair composite structures and components.
• Perform composite layup using prepreg materials, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other reinforcement materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and materials for composite fabrication.
• Perform vacuum bagging, debulking, and curing operations.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Document manufacturing activities and maintain traceability requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
