Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, Texas, is seeking Composite Technicians across multiple levels to support our growing aerospace manufacturing operations. You will fabricate, lay up prepregs, inspect, and document work while coordinating with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to advanced composite fabrication knowledge and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain traceability.
• Experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, or production equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair composite structures and components used in aerospace applications.
• Perform composite layup using prepreg materials, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other reinforcement materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and materials for composite fabrication.
• Perform vacuum bagging, debulking, and curing operations.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct trimming, drilling, bonding, and finishing of composite components.
• Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Document manufacturing activities and maintain traceability requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
