Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, Texas is seeking Composite Technicians at multiple levels to support aerospace manufacturing. You will fabricate, assemble, and repair composite structures, perform layup with prepregs and CFRP, and read engineering drawings.

Roles vary by level and shift; candidates will be matched to experience and production needs. Positions involve using hand tools, curing and vacuum bagging processes, and ensuring traceability and quality in a fast-paced, aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to advanced composite fabrication experience across I–IV levels.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and learn composite processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, or production equipment is a plus.
• Formal training or hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair composite structures used in aerospace.
• Perform composite layup using prepregs, carbon fiber, and reinforcement materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and materials for fabrication.
• Perform vacuum bagging, debulking, and curing operations.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
• Trim, drill, bond, and finish composite components.
• Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Document manufacturing activities and maintain traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
