Job summary

Arke in Torrance, CA is seeking a Composite Technician to support the assembly of a first-of-a-kind prototype aircraft. The role focuses on fabricating, assembling, trimming, and finishing composite components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

You will perform lay-up, bonding, vacuum bagging, curing, and related fabrication steps, inspect parts for defects, and maintain accurate production records while complying with quality and defense-industry procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in composites fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, or related technician role.
• Hands-on experience with carbon fibre, fibreglass, and aramid.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, trim, and finish composite components and structures using established work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform composite lay-up, bonding, vacuum bagging, curing, and other fabrication processes.
• Inspect composite parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and workmanship using appropriate inspection and measurement equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and composite fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate production records and comply with quality, safety, and defense-industry procedures.
