Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Technician to support the Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL. You will work on composite motors hardware, performing lay-up, curing, bonding and assembly of complex parts according to detailed instructions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with several years of hands-on experience in composite fabrication, machining and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts, components and final assemblies using composite fabrication, curing and assembly per detailed work instructions.
• Operate and set up ovens, autoclaves, lathes, CNC machines and other shop equipment.
• Perform vacuum bagging, bonding, lay-up, cure, post-cure, inspection and testing of composite parts.
• Prepare components for lay-up and curing processes with appropriate materials.
• Coordinate with maintenance and supervision to set up and calibrate equipment and meet deadlines.

Education
