Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and valid Texas Teacher Certification required.
Experience in secondary teaching preferred.
Composite Science certified.
Responsibilities
Instruct students through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
Establish clear objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
Collaborate with staff to meet educational needs of students.
Create, administer and grade tests to evaluate student progress.
Maintain order in the classroom.
Observe and evaluate student progress.
Skills
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
Ability and patience to work interactively with students
Skill in organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deliver teaching instruction in accordance with improved curriculum and standards
Excellent skills in verbal and written communication
Ability to understand the individual needs of each student
