Job summary

Rocket Lab, based at the Space Structures Complex in Middle River, Maryland, seeks a Production Supervisor, Composites to lead a skilled team building large composite assemblies for the Neutron rocket. You’ll set job assignments, drive daily progress, and coordinate with design, manufacturing engineering and production to meet goals.

You will supervise technicians, foster best practices, and deliver safe, high‑quality outputs while supporting training programs and capacity planning to keep

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an operating technician in technical environments and a high school diploma.
• 1+ year of team leadership in a production setting.
• Experience with daily scheduling, complex facility systems, and operations management.
• Experience with apprentice-style training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of technicians at the SSC Production Site to ensure clear responsibilities.
• Oversee daily tactical and weekly objectives across multiple production work cells.
• Track output against delivery objectives and manage capacity planning and scheduling.
• Drive improvement projects and feedback to reduce touch‑time and improve quality and safety.
• Lead basic preventive maintenance across the facility.
• Ensure training and conformance to health and safety policies including PPE.
• Own training for composite technicians including knowledge transfer from NZ programs.
• Transfer Manufacturing Technologies from New Zealand to Maryland.
