Job summary

GKN Aerospace Tallassee is hiring for an Operator role to perform advanced manufacturing and assembly on aerospace components. You will interpret engineering drawings and work instructions independently to ensure quality and on-time production.

You'll inspect parts, resolve production issues, maintain safety, mentor less experienced operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative team environment. Prior A&P or FAA experience is a plus and U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to five years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing or related production environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
• A&P or FAA Aircraft maintenance experience is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen) per ITAR regulations to comply with export control requirements.

Physical requirements

This role involves standing, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods. Candidates should be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs and work safely in a manufacturing environment using appropriate personal protective equipment.
