Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead a production team focused on advanced composite aerospace structures. The role drives quality, safety, cost, and schedule while coaching technicians and coordinating with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, and Supply Chain.

The position requires 6+ years in composites and 2+ years in leadership, with a hands-on approach to Lean improvements and adherence to AS9100 / NADCAP practices. On-site nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of composite manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years in multiple composite manufacturing processes (hand lamination, bonding, cutting, drilling, assembly, vacuum bagging).
• 2+ years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and improving shop procedures and work instructions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on nights/weekends.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise a production team of technicians to deliver high-quality composite aerospace products on time and within budget.
• Support assigned shifts by coordinating resources, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with production objectives.
• Manage shift handovers and daily pre-shift readiness checks.
• Provide coverage on nights and weekends as required to support production schedules.
• Monitor operations for adherence to work instructions and safety practices.
• Review completed work, disseminate recovery plans, and report achievements/risks to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and approve PTO/timecards.
• Develop and maintain a skills matrix and staffing plans based on data-driven assessments.
