Job summary

Epic Aircraft in Bend, Oregon is hiring a Composite Layup Technician to join our Composite Fabrication Team building carbon-fiber components for our high-performance aircraft. This entry-level position offers hands-on training, no prior experience required, and opportunities for growth in aerospace manufacturing.

You will prepare molds and forms, lay up materials, inspect work, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare molds, tooling, and forms for composite fabrication.
  • Measure, mark, and cut composite materials including carbon fiber tape, woven fabrics, honeycomb core, adhesives.
  • Lay up composite materials according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Vacuum bag composite assemblies for oven curing.
  • Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and team objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

As a Composite Layup Technician, you'll be a key member of our Composite Fabrication Team, helping build carbon-fiber components used in our award-winning aircraft. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, take pride in quality workmanship, and are interested in developing a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing.This position requires no experience and is a great way to start your career at Epic.

Compensation And Schedule

Day Shift

Monday Friday

6:45 a.m. 3:15 p.m.

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour

Afternoon Shift

Monday Thursday

3:30 p.m. 2:00 a.m.

Starting Pay: $23.00/hour (includes shift differential)

Training

A paid two-week training program is required for all new hires in Composites:

Monday Friday

7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
