Job summary

Caliberr Staffing seeks a Composite Fabrication Specialist to support aerospace components through precise layup, bonding, and assembly in a production environment. You will work with composite materials, resins, adhesives, and precision tooling to deliver high-performance parts.

You will read and interpret blueprints and schematics, set up jigs and molds, perform trimming and drilling to tight tolerances, and uphold safety with PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience accepted.

• Experience with hand/power tools and precision measuring tools.

About the Role

As a Composite Fabrication Specialist, you will play a vital role in the production of high-performance aerospace components by executing precise layup and assembly processes. Your expertise in material handling and structural bonding will directly contribute to the integrity and innovation of our advanced manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex composite layup procedures by accurately placing materials according to rigorous engineering specifications.
• Utilize vacuum bagging techniques and secondary bonding with resins to ensure structural component durability.
• Perform meticulous trimming, cutting, and drilling of parts to meet exact dimensional tolerances.
• Manage the setup of specialized jigs, fixtures, and molds to optimize production workflows.
• Maintain a high standard of quality assurance by inspecting assemblies for defects and verifying compliance with technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine fabrication processes and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Handle industrial adhesives and composite materials safely while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints, technical schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Solid understanding of composite material properties, resin systems, and structural adhesives.
• Advanced manual dexterity and experience operating hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
