Job summary

Garmin Ltd. seeks a full-time Component Engineering Intern at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will assist Component Engineers and support component supply chain activities across multiple teams.

Responsibilities include research on environmental compliance, maintaining databases, and aiding in failure analysis and root-cause resolutions, with CAD exposure and collaboration across engineering, purchasing and QA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or related field.
• Excellent academics with GPA 3.0+; strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of electronic component types; CAD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect component environmental compliance information.
• Maintain various component databases.
• Assist with preparation of specification control drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, QA and suppliers on component issues.
• Assist in component failure analysis and root-cause identification.
• Support evaluations and qualification of components.
