Tanknology is seeking an Underground Storage Tank Inspector Trainee to join a travel-heavy field team covering multiple western states. The position requires learning fuel-management inspection practices, on-site safety, and data capture while supporting customers and protecting the environment.

Qualifications

Underground Storage Tank Inspector

This role will cover Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana. "TRAVEL" heavy position. 3 weeks on and 1 week off rotation for travel.

As an Underground Storage Tank (UST) Inspector Trainee, you will receive on-the-job training to gain a comprehensive understanding of fuel management for facilities with above and below-ground storage systems. This role involves learning about the equipment, documentation, and procedures necessary for conducting inspection

What You'll Do:

• Drive a company service vehicle to customer locations, often on a designated route
• Perform inspections of fueling facilities, including visual observations and site surveys
• Provide on-site training to customers or company staff
• Conduct limited maintenance tasks based on site conditions
• Capture inspection results using customized data collection software on handheld devices or laptops

What We're Looking For:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electricians, carpenters, or cable technicians preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
• Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily
• Basic computer skills for data entry
• Effective communication skills
